Day 1
TANGIER – CHEFCHAOUEN
After picking you up from the airport of Tangier, we’ll start the tour crossing the Riff Mountains, to reach Chefchaouen. The name of this Berber town means "look at the horns". It´s a beautiful place which reminds Andalusia because of the style —all their houses are blue painted! Here we’ll have a walk around the little town discovering the markets, little stores, terraces and hidden corners. Also you can do a small trek to go up to the mountains to see the sunset! Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2
CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FEZ
After breakfast, we’ll depart to Fez. On our way to this old city, we’ll visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, and we’ll continue to Meknès where we’ll visit the old medina of this Imperial City surrounded by ramparts and continuing to the old medina. Overnight stay in a hotel/riad.
Day 3
VISITING FEZ
We’ll dedicate this third day to visit Fez, the oldest Imperial City of Morocco. Moulay Idriss II founded Fez in the 8th century. We’ll visit the old medina, Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Najjarine Fontaine, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Qarawiyyin Mosque and the new medina of this city, El-Jdid. Overnight stay in a hotel/riad.
Day 4
FEZ – AZROU – THE GORGES OF ZIZ – MIDELT – MERZOUGA
Early in the morning, after having lunch, we’ll start our journey to south, going to Merzouga. On our way to the desert, we’ll pass through Azrou, famous for the cedar forests and the Gorges of Ziz and the palm trees. The volatile landscape makes this tour really special. Afterwards, we’ll stop for lunch in Midelt and if you’re ever interested in carpets and rugs, you can ask for them in the Myriem Kasbah. Late in the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi Dunes (Merzouga) and we’ll leave you so you can have some well deserved rest. Enjoy your arrival while we look at the sunset! Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 5
NOMADIC TOUR
This day we’ll have the chance to discover the region of Merzouga. Our day will start in the village of Khamlia. They’ll welcome us with a traditional cup of mint tea while we enjoy a live Gnawa music concert. Then, we’ll explore the desert lake, where different kinds of birds live. Continuing towards the vast palm of Tafilalet, we’ll visit the town of Rissani, surrounded by fortified villages and souks. Rissani is also the origin place of the Alaouite dynasty and the ancient capital of the Alaouite sultans. Late in the afternoon, we’ll drive back to the hotel and we’ll take some camels to ride through the desert to see the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional Berber tent.
Day 6
MERZOUGA – THE GORGES OF TODRA – THE GORGES OF DADES
After enjoying an amazing sunrise, we’ll take our camels back to the hotel where we’ll have some breakfast. After breakfast, we’ll start our trip to Tineghir, where we’ll get a beautiful panorama of contrasts between their pink houses and green palm trees. It’s a perfect starting point to get into the famous Gorges of Todra, where we’ll stop to enjoy the scenery formed by their waterfalls and vertical walls up to 200 meters high (656 ft.) from the ground. We'll have lunch there. In the afternoon, we’ll continue to the Valley of Dades in our way to Boumalne and we’ll stop to visit the Gorges of Dades. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7
THE VALLEY OF DADES – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE
After breakfast, we’ll continue to Ouarzazate through "the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs". We’ll drive through "the Valley of Roses" where we’ll have time to visit different nomads caves and we’ll continue to the Skoura Palm Trees and where we’ll visit the Aridhyl Kasbah and the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8
AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA
After breakfast, we’ll take our 4×4 from Ouarzazate to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. We’ll visit this old Berber village, where all the houses are crowd together within a defensive wall fortification —remaining the whole fortress! It’s also reinforced by corner towers. In this traditional pre-Saharan habitat, many popular movies were filmed like "Gladiator" or "Lawrence of Arabia". We’ll continue our way to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi-N-Tichka Harbour, a mountain of 2,260 meters high (7,414 ft.) from the ground, where we’ll enjoy a magnificent panoramic view! We’ll have lunch in Marrakech before continue our way to Essaouira. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 9
ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we’ll visit the old city of Essaouira with a local guide or on your own, it’s up to you! Free time to enjoy the wonderful beach and water sports. Around 3 pm, we’ll drive you back to Marrakech where we’ll spend the night. Overnight stay in a riad/hotel.
Day 10
VISITING MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we’ll have a guided tour in Marrakech, the southern treasure of Morocco. We will discover the Bahia and the Badi Palaces, the Saadian Tombs, the Menara Basin and many other hidden precious monuments. We’ll have lunch in one of the best traditional restaurants of Marrakech and afterwards, we’ll continue our tour to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Jemaa el Fna Square. This square is one of the principal attractions of Marrakech. At night it becomes a really busy place with local storytellers, entertainers and mouth-watering traditional Moroccan dishes.
Day 11
MARRAKECH – CASABLANCA – RABAT – ASILAH
Early in the morning, we’ll depart to Casablanca. There, we’ll visit the incredible Hassan II Mosque and the Corniche. From only 1h to the way to Casablanca, we can find Rabat. Here we’ll stay visiting the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. We’ll visit also the beautiful city of Asilah on the coast. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 12
ASILAH – TANGIER
We’ll spend the morning in the beach and we’ll visit the old medina of Asilah. We’ll go back to Tangier and we’ll take you back to the port/airport.
